There’s never been a more exciting or more pressured blog to write than this one!
With this blog, there are two main goals. To hand out thank you to those who made it happen, and to give a glimpse of grace & hope in our lives.
First, the thank yous. A huge thanks to Erin, friend and owner of Erin Lindsey Images, for taking our photos during her busiest season of the year, without hesitation. She photographed our engagement, our wedding, endless anniversaries and Christmases, so there was no doubt she should be there to capture this next chapter of our lives.
Next, a big ole hug and thank you to Ashley, owner of Ashley the Fabulous, for getting to work at 7am to curl my hair for these photos, because no one does it better! And, I think I asked her about 48 hours beforehand. She is amazing!
Lastly on the thank you list, a big thank you to one of our favorite local Mexican joints, for hosting us during the early morning hours, and going along with my crazy idea. We love you, Taco Mama Huntsville! A special thank you to David Weand, for patiently listening to me as I nervously explained my vision for our “Taco Mama & Taco Papa” baby announcement.
Secondly, a glimpse of hope. I’m not going to go into the details today, because today is for celebrating. But eventually, I’ll get the nerve to share with you our journey to this moment. It’s a sad story, which is why it hasn’t been told before, but if you’re traveling on that road right now, let these photos give you hope. We are so thankful, so blessed, and also, enormously nervous 24/7. We give all glory to God, who has allowed Rudy and I to grow closer than we could have ever imagined during a trying and turbulent year and a half.
We had such a blast with our Taco Mama & Taco Papa announcement photos. It was everything I could have dreamed. Now, enough with the chit chat!
As much as we loved the fun & quirky pictures, I didn’t want all of our pictures to be in t-shirts, so we also headed up to Monte Sano State Park for some more timeless photos. I am so glad we did! These pictures are gorgeous, and we will cherish them for years and years to come.
There’s really so much to be thankful for in this season. So I’m not going to apologize for keeping them going here. Obviously, a huge thank you to Rudy for always making me the happiest girl alive, even if it means a photoshoot for the 203484 time. I literally cannot wait to see you be a Papa! To our family & friends, thanks for mostly keeping our secret a secret. It’s been a long two and half months to wait! Thanks for already loving #tanbaby so completely.
We are so excited to finally share the most exciting news… We are having a baby, due May 27, 2017!
